Salisbury Museum of Indian Culture seeks food bank donations for impoverished American Indians by Tara Tanzos Monday June 01, 2009, 12:15 AM Many American Indian families do not have enough food to provide for all the members of their households. The Museum of Indian Culture in Salisbury Township hopes to change that and is reaching out to the community for donations to its food bank. The donations are distributed around the tri-state area to American Indian families that are federally recognized as impoverished. The food bank is accepting non-expired canned goods, baking necessities and cleaning products. Museum coordinators stress the donation of protein items, including canned fish, canned meat and peanut butter. The food bank also accepts contributions in the form of Wal-Mart gift cards. Donations to the Museum of Indian Culture Food Bank can be made during the museum's regular operating hours or at any museum event. www.lehighvalleylive.com/today/index.ssf/2009/06/salisbury_museum_of_indian_cul.html
